After an early start, we caught the Eurostar at St Pancras station for a comfortable trip to Paris. Our apartment near Republique was good and the weather cold but sunny. During our four days in Paris we did a lot of eating, coffee drinking, wine drinking, eating, park promenading and hurried walking. Sonia and I queued for two hours in the cold evening to ascend the Eiffel Tower for the night views. It was beautiful.

We also visited the Pantheon, saw some famous impressionist art at Musee Dorsay, went for an evening spin through Notre Dame and wandered around the Louvre and Latin Quarter.

I even tried out my new found French speaking skills to ask questions in shops, etc. I knew what I was talking about, not too sure that they did.

After Paris, we take a fast train to Strasbourg.
